EUROINS GREECE AND "THE SMILE OF THE CHILD" COMMEMORATE THE INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR MISSING CHILDREN

The 20th Meeting organized by "The Smile of the Child" on the occasion of the International Day for Missing Children on 25 May was completed with great success, with the full sponsorship support of Euroins Greece.

The event-institution, which took place on Tuesday, May 21 at Zappeion Megaron, was honored with the presence of the Minister of Citizen Protection Mr. Michalis Chrysochoides, the Secretary General of Demographic and Housing Policy Dr. Marina Stefou and other members of the political leadership.

Also present were representatives of institutional bodies (HNDGS, ELAS, Coast Guard, Fire Brigade, General Secretary for Civil Protection, Regions, Municipalities, etc.), private organizations (technology companies, communications companies, etc.), as well as voluntary bodies with which "The Smile of the Child" cooperates for the prevention and immediate and effective management of cases of missing minors as well as adults missing and at risk.

During the event, "The Smile" presented the tools it offers to competent institutional bodies, such as the National Center for the Disappearance of Children & Adults. According to the data of the first four months of 2024, the European Hotline for Missing Children (116000) received 3.814 calls, managed 81 cases of missing and searching for children and 50 cases of missing and searching for adults. Finally, the Organization managed incidents at prevention level for 511 students, 432 parents and guardians and 51 teachers.

Smyrnis stated: "This year Euroins completes 10 years of presence in Greece and society is at the top of its priorities, in addition to its policyholders and partners. In this context, we recently renewed our sponsorship support by fully assuming the cost of insuring the Organization's fleet of 140 vehicles for the current year as well."
